I would also like to commend our bus driver for the first part of our trip. The hotels we stayed in were top notch, well appointed and comfortable, allowing us to experience the locale as well. I appreciated our trip because it showed us a cross-section of northern Costa Rica, its climate and topography, and a variety of locations and experiences. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, considerate and professional, and well-organized. Got to SJO airport around 6.30 am, made it to Toronto (YYZ) and waited till 9.05 pm to board AC 149 as it was delayed. I would go back to Costa Rica and get travel agent to plan it out at a more leisurely pace. 3 days and 2 nights is really 1.5 days and the rest is travel.

Again you get a free bouncy bus massage and spend a lot of time on a bus. WE also did the Jungle Adventure tour extension and enjoyed it. No one mentioned the route and i'm amazed more people didn't have travel issues. I'm used to our roads multi lane and paved and had no idea how rough and winding they are. The other big surprise is the amount of time on bus. Also put extra day at Arenal Springs Resort (3 days). I would make an alternate tour option with extra start day at Doubletree, (2) then extra day at Guanacaste beaches (3 days). Most of the folks are 35-70 years and being from Winter in Canada would like a few days break at the beach or pool. So you're tired and you start running from now on. I checked Flightaware for the on time performance and found it at 58%, I should have checked before signing up for trip. flight AC 1806 was late leaving YYZ and that puts us at the Doubletree Cariari hotel at 1.30 am We have travelled from YYC at 6.30 am. Why Collette deals with Air Canada is a completely different issue. Also Raul our driver from Transnunez is an excellent driver, felt we were in good hands with both of them. First Fabian is a very good tour manager and really knows his stuff. I have struggled with this trip since I got home. Unfortunately, this level is not appropriate for individuals who use wheelchairs or walkers.
